General Plumbing

We are ready to provide you with the service you need on any job, large or small. From repairs to replacements, we will give you the options and recommendations so you can make an informative decision to correct your problems. Additionally, do you know where your main shut off valve is to the house? Our technicians will show you if you don’t know and mark it with a valve tag so you can easily find it when you have to shut off your water quickly.

Tim's Advice:

Did you know that leaving a hose attached to your outside faucet in freezing weather can cause the ANTI-FREEZE faucet to split and break? The leak will usually not occur until you use your faucet. Most times it will leak into your basement and could cause severe water damage. Remove your hose from outside faucets before freezing weather arrives.

Faucets

We will service most any major brand faucet. Some faucet repair parts can be outdated and unable to find. We will make you aware of this and offer you other options to replace your faucet. We have installed many different name brand faucets over the years and have found Delta to be our current choice due to their quality and reliability when compared to other major name brand companies. Delta has a very large selection of styles to choose from which all can be found on their website, deltafacuets.com.

Tim's Advice:

Of course, if you have a water condition such as hardness, low ph [acidic water] etc., any faucet will be susceptible to a problem. We can resolve your water issues and prolong the life of your faucet.

Garbage Disposals

We stock only ¾ Horse Power Disposers on our trucks. They have an excellent warranty and are very reliable if not abused. While a larger Horse Power is more expensive, it will save you money in maintenance issues being able to cut food particles better.

Tim's Advice:

As a service oriented company, we have had the experience of dealing with many clogged drains due to misuse. The disposer can be one of the most unclean fixtures in your home if not flushed out properly or run often. Run plenty of water when using.

To clean the unit, we have found that warm or hot water is better so that grease does not solidify within the pipes as easily. Additionally, using a few ice cubes in the disposal, followed by hot water works well also.

Bio Clean, a drain maintenance product, will also help to keep odors to a minimum. Tim Beil Plumbing has Bio Clean available on our work vehicles and in the office for pick up.

Toilets

One of the biggest complaints is the low volume 1.6 gallon flush toilet won’t take everything down with a single flush. We have tried many toilets and found the GERBER ULTRA FLUSH PRESSURE ASSIST to work the best. It has a LARGER water spot in the bowl and its flush is far better than any gravity flush toilet we have tried and tested. It also is available in COMFORT HEIGHT which is a few inches taller and makes it easier to get up off the bowl. We now use a slow close seat on toilet installations, as this eliminates the toilet seat from slamming down on the bowl. Please see gerberonline.com to all available options.

Water Heaters

ELECTRIC, GAS, TANKLESS, Repair or Replacement, we can help you with your problem. We can work on most any type water heater and install most any name brand you would like. We recommend and stock BRADFORD WHITE water heaters.

High pressure on city water supplies along with no expansion tank can stress a plumbing system. Water heaters have a glass lining and when stressed it can crack causing the metal tank to rust and leak. We find this to be a common problem, and recommend installing a pressure reducing valve if pressure is 70 lbs. or more. You never know just how often in a 24 hr. period the pressure can change, and also advise to install an expansion tank. We will install the proper size tank, and usually suggest a larger size just to be safe. Additionally, a relief valve should be installed on every water heater, and drain line to the floor or a safe place.

Tankless water heaters have become popular. They do have their place and need to be sized properly. One common misconception is that you will get hot water to your faucet faster; this is not the case. It will take just as long to get to your faucet. When using a tankless water heater, it is necessary to have soft water. SOFT WATER is also recommended for all other types of water heaters; however, tankless units will be affected much faster. See our water treatment section for information on the very best water softener systems.

If getting hot water to your faucet is your concern, we can help. We have systems that can be installed without the need to run a recirculation line.

Well Pumps & Tanks

Turning on a faucet and having no water come out of it is a frightening feeling. It’s just then that you realize how much you depend on water. Tim Beil Plumbing can take care of all your well pump and water tank needs. The technician will do a thorough job of diagnosing your emergency, which allows us to be sure it’s necessary to pull your pipe and pump from your well. We stock the most commonly used items on our trucks to ensure you have running water as soon as possible. We are just a phone call away when you have no water.

Drain Cleaning, Camera and Locating

We have the right drain cleaning equipment to take care of your blocked sewer and drain lines. After years of use, we have found sectional cable drain cleaning equipment to be the most effective. This type of equipment is typically a little more expensive to use, but it is well worth it, when getting a better result. Drum-type machines, with one-piece cable can bind up easily in larger pipes. We also have High Pressure Jetting Machines that we suggest using in certain situations to “scour” the inside of pipes.

Septic systems, such as sand mounds and other dousing type drain fields can become clogged over the years. We can handle maintaining and opening these problems as well.

There are two products that we highly recommend for your drains to help prevent problems in the future. Bio-clean is a drain maintenance product used to assist in keeping your lines open. Root-x is a product to use when there are roots in your pipes. This product, when used properly, will stop the growth of roots.
